I’ll Follow You, Just in Case, is a gestural participation action. The work involves strapping a Transfer/Walking belt around a participant and moving through the gallery with them. Support belts are used on persons who require assistance in walking or transferring from standing to sitting or, in the gallery context, object to object. This assistance creates a shadow effect. The participant leads; in this case, the artist supports.
